I have a Pixma MP830 with very little use that is totally dead. It won't power on and nothing appears to light up or attempt to show any signs of life. Power supply was tested and even changed out with a properly functioning replacement with no success. There is no Canon service in my area and what there is, is quite far away. Other than the vague service manual, and lack of information what control boards or components typically cause this model to be totally dead? Is there a problem or trouble shooting flow chart available? Other than the main system control board, can a defective relay board also cause this? Any help would be greatly appreciated because this was a very expensive multifunction printer for me to purchase new and calling Canon Tech support was totally useless. The service center which is many miles away figured the shipping cost just to get it to their location and send back wasn't viable.
