I had no idea I bought such an old piece of hardware from a new store.  My computer / your printer started to complain of low ink so I replaced both ink wells.  I have tried EVERYTHING I have seen posted.  I have no printer cable to hard wire.    This is so irritating.  Such a simple task - replace ink - and lose printer.

Have you any new ideas?

Try to connect this printer with some other system and check it, if it responds this will rule out the possibility of your printer hardware not working. We can then provide you trouble shooting for your system.

Right I have restarted my LAN and now it appears to be working - Hurrah! However, my newly installed black ink cartridge is not working and it keeps defaulting to the colour cartridge. Any ideas on how to fix this???
