wrf

I have loaded envelopes in lower tray of my new MG7120 per directions,  but when I try to print, I get a warning light

and a prompt saying "There is no paper in the upper tray"  What am I missing?

Hi wrf,

What version of Windows or Mac are you using?

Patrick,

I am using Windows 7.

This my second Canon printer. I had an MP800 before this.

Patrick,

I'm sorry, it was past my bedtime when I posted my problem.

I am trying to print 6 3/4 size envelopes on my Pixma MG7120,

I set up the address on MS Word, load the lower tray per instructions,

but keep getting a prompt on my MG7120, saying there is no paper

in the upper cassette.

I'm afraid the same thing will happen when I try to print my Christmas cards.

Hi wrf,

Please make sure that the envelope is selected in the printer driver.  To do this, please follow these steps:

 1.  Click on Start and then Control Panel.

 2.  Click on Printers.

 3.  Right click the PIXMA MG7120 and left click on Printing Preferences.

 4.  Click on  the Main tab.

 5.  Please select  Envelope from the Media Type drop down box.

 6.  Click Apply.

 7.  Click on the Page Setup tab.

 8.  Please select your envelope type from the Page Size drop down box.

 9.  Click Apply and then OK.

Once set, please attempt to print.

I am having the same issue with the same size envelops (A6 - 4.75x6.5")

Can you please explain this same process for Mac OSX 10.10.5?

I bought my Canon MG7720 today because my HP printer will not print envelopes.  I have tried for hours to print on my new printer.  It will print a letter size paper, but will not send the print information to the printer when I change to "envelope" after selecting print prefernces. I even went to "settings" and selected custom for the exact size of the envelope. When I check to see if the envelope is in the queque after pressing print, it is not there.  How do you get the printer to print a 5.75" x 8.75" envelope from cassette 1? I've watched Youtube, read Canon's Basic Manual, researched the internet to no avail.

Thanks for any help,

Karen

I have printed envelopes for a couple of years on my Pixma MG7120 with no issues.  Starting recently, envelopes come out blank. I use Word 2011 for Mac and am running Mac iOS Sierra 10.12.  Thanks, Elyse

Honestly there are times when I just want to throw this printer out the window.

Half the time, no matter what the media is, it simply won't accept it. Printing envelopes is a bloody nightmare, it just doesn't work. As for Canon support, forget about it.

CANON, can we have Mac instructions on printing envelopes please?

I feel this so much. Been trying all these different suggestions with no success...support is NOT HELPING.
