Canon TS8150 - Select specific area to scan

compumac

Just changed printer from an HP6520 to a Canon TS8150.

With the HP 6520 I was able to scan an A4 page and then whilst still in scan mode select a specific area of the page to scan and copy that specific area into - perhaps, Microsoft Word.

The Canon TS8150 does not as far as I can see offer that option.

Hi compumac,

You can define the scan area using IJ Scan Utility.

  1. Open IJ Scan Utility.
  2. Select "ScanGear."
  3. Select the "Advanced" tab.
  4. Place the original.
  5. Press "Preview."
  6. Click and drag the cursor to define a scan area.
  7. Press "Scan."

Only the defined area will be scanned.
