Canon Pixma TS6120 Offline

I just upgraded my mac to High Sierra, version 10.13.3

When I send a job to the printer, "the printer is not connected".

I have rebooted both the computer and the printer and continue to get this message.  I was thinking that the upgrade to a new version of the operating system might require an updated printer driver.  Any thoughts?

I suspect the printer has one cartridge out of ink thus forcing you to put in a cartridge to coontinue printing. Sneaky - never trust a printer company with a cartridge.
