Canon MP610 error 5100

Help!  My mp610 ran out of ink for the first time this week and I replaced it with genuine ink from staples.  A day or so after changing the cartiges I received an error message that hasn't gone away.

I have restarted,

replaced the ink again

checked for blockages/debris/jams

tried to reset (no response from printer)

I need to print!

 

What can I do that I haven't done?
