I have recently bought a new Canon MP280 printer already fitted with the extra external ink reservoirs for all four colours which are located on the right hand side of the machine, along with an empty bottle used during the cleaning process to collect discharged ink.
It has the two internal "fine" printhead cartridges one for black the second for the three colours.
After just one month it now indicates that the colour fine cartridge is nearing empty, giving an indication of E 1- 6
and showing an orange light for the colour ink on the display panel.
Does this mean I have to replace the "fine" colour cartridge or as I have the extra fitted tanks should I just remove it & replace it?
what is the purpose of the extra ink tanks if the head needs replacing all the time ?
