Selphy CP1200 failing to print photos from iPhone 6S

ChiaNZ

I've succesfully connected my Selphy CP1200 to my iPhone 6S. When selecting photos to print some of the photos the error message 'Cannot display. The data format is not supported' appears and the print button is greyed out.

When I select two or more images to print the print button is no longer greyed out, but then the error 'failed to print' comes up. What could be the problem?

So, how about it, Canon community?

No one has any answers to this catastrophic issue?

My scenario is exactly the same as ChiaNZ describes:  For certain pictures on my iPhone 6, printing does not work and the message 'Data format is not supported' appears and the print choice is greyed out.  For other pictures, works perfectly.  Resolution is NOT the issue.  Some 3720 x 2400 pix print great, some 940 x 1028 do and some do not.

Also, the wifi drops out after 2 or 3 minutes of being connected.

What kind of poor quality control does Canon have?  How can they shove this stuff out to the consumer and not expect it to be returned?

Just awful.

Hi peckert!

Thanks for reaching out to Canon USA!

You'll need to make sure you're using the Canon PRINT app, not printing directly from your phone, as the phone's built-in app will have limitations. You'll find the Canon PRINT app for iOS here: http://Canon.us/2hc4 and Android here: http://Canon.us/xem8

If you're using the Canon PRINT app and you're still having problems, you'll want to reach out to our 100% free, friendly, US-based technical support team at 1-800-OK-CANON (800-652-2666) for further support. They're available weekdays from 10am to 10pm (ET).
