I have a Windows 10 desktop PC connected to an MF4880dw via the network. We recently tried to scan from the printer and the toolbox didn't think the printer was online even though it was and I could print to it. I found that there was a patch for the scanner so I followed the directions of removing the drivers and the toolbox and downloading the latest versions. Unfortunately, when I run the driver package, it installs the printer and fax drivers just fine but gives me the message "Could not install the scanner driver. Try to install again." I have tried- several times. I've tried restarting the computer, removing the printer and installing printer, fax and scanner again, trying to install just the scanner- all no go.
I can print to the printer. The installation software can see the printer just fine over the network. It just won't install the scanner drivers!
Help!
Thanks,
Naomi C.
