Brand New MF 216n won't print

Just bought it today. Scanner and copier work fine. When I try to print a test page or any other document, I get a "printing error". When I troubleshoot, it tells me that I have "a document in the queue that is preventing other documents from printing...fixed", so I try again, and get the exact same error. I tried Microsoft's "Fix-It" for printers, and it told me the same thing, informing me that it was fine after deleting the printing job from the cue (the one I was trying to print that would not).

I had an InageClass 4770 before this. I'm not new to these machines. But I'm stuck.

Having the exact same problem.  Have uninstalled and re-installed 3x now.  Very frustrated.  A little worried that the last post's reply hasn't been answered in over a year, too.

 

Windows 7 Professional.
