Bidirectional support grayed out on Canon 2030

Hi,

I'm creating a new print server on Windows 2008 Standard R2 x64.

After installing the drivers for the Canon Image Runner 2030 color I am unable to check the "Enable Bidirectional Support"

I have tried the latest .INF drivers several times as well as the setup package.

The strange thing is that on our current print server (Windows 2003 Enterprise) it is checked.

Any idea?

Michiel

I'm also having this EXACT problem, on an Image Runner Adv 7260!, and Win 2008R2 server.

I'm using the UFXII current driver, and enabled RAW and Bi-Directional Comm on the printer-side.

On the server-side, the option "Enable Bidirectional Communication" is GRAYED OUT!

I would be nice if Canon responded to this.

Thanks.

Actually, I don't think I am experiencing any downsides from it. Printing seems to be fine with the option greyed out.

Hi pdills88!

Thanks for posting in the Canon Forum! Canon does not provide direct support for imageRUNNER series products, but your dealer will be able to help you! If you don't have a dealer, please call us at 1-800-OKCANON (652-2666) and we will be happy to provide dealers who are in your area.
