You need a special tool that holds the focusing screen.  When you buy a new screen, you should get a tool with it.  My advice is to send the camera to Canon for service.  Contact Canon U.S. Support at 1-800-OK-CANON.

How did it come loose, anyway?  However it happened, that's why Canon needs to check it.  All of that stuff is precisely aligned, and if it is out of alignment your camera will not focus properly.

and this one too. Different model (60D) but same steps. To me it has the best explanation and illustration.

I'm wondering if the OP means the LCD cover?

Hmm.  Good point.  If the LCD has come apart, then Canon definitely needs to look at it.  I hope they still repair it.

OP said "the screen focusing plate"

How is it related to the LCD screen ?

If the LCD screen fell off, it is certainly a huge problem.

Could be. Only the OP can tell.

But how the LCD glass will fall off ?  It may crack due to impact but fall off ? I don't think so.I have repaired several cameras and it is actually very, very hard to remove the original LCD glass.

May be add on protector ??

That's likely it. Held on by tape.

So unless the OP provides more details, we will never know what exactly is the problem.
