If I Had Designed Mark IV WiFi

It would work this way:

1. There would be a simple toggle between ad-hoc network and infrastructure network.

2. In ad-hoc mode you would set a password that would not change until you changed it. That done, you could connect to the camera from any device within range so long as that device was running the appropriate Canon software. No need to have separate settings for each device.

3. In infrastructure mode you would set a camera as well as a WiFi pasword in the camera software. Then, with the camera connected to the network, you could connect to the camera from any device on the network that had the appropriate Canon software, enter the camera password, and go to work.

Paragraph 2 describes the way the CamRanger works. Would that the 5D Mark IV's WiFi were as versatile and easy to use.
