P1080265.JPGI have a EOS 1Ds and my problem is that when i went to change lenses i removed 1 lens and a small plastic rectengle fell out from inside where the mirrows are located. Can any body tell me how to reinstall it.

If the screen fell out, then it is likely to have picked up some sort of dirt, especially if you picked it up with your hand.  A new focusing screen is so cheap that it is worth it to buy one, especially because a genuine Canon screen should include a tool to pick up and install the focusing screen.

Can you post a photo of part involved?

Here's a link to the 1D (not s) repair manual, but it might help.

You're probably correct Peter.

"Small" threw me off; I didn't consider the screen small since it's the largest thing that will fit in the mirror box 🙂

It is very important you do not touch this part with your fingers.  If you get it dirty or smudged, it will drive you nutty. It does not happen often but it does happen upon occasion for the focusing screen to fall out of a 1Ds.
