70D won't pair with macbook pro on apple extreme network

Have a new 70D, OSX 10.8.4, Airport Extreme. Followed all of the directions installing software on the MacBook. Also set up wifi on the camera (Camera has paired previously with iOS EOS Remote app) .

WFT Pairing starts up on the Mac ok and recognizes camera on the network. Then the camera is selected and LCD on camera says pairing in progress. The camera info in the dialog box on the Mac then disappears and the camera LCD screen stays stuck on the pairing in progress message.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi mflembeck!

Thanks for posting!

I would like for you to check over a few things that will help me determine what is causing this.

  1. What specific version of EOS Utility are you using?
  2. Are you using the old configuration on the camera or have you tried forgetting those settings and starting a completely new setup?
  3. Also, just to be sure, do you have an ethernet connection to the Macbook at the same time as you have the wireless connection?
