download pictures

Bought my Digital rebel 2004- love it

Bought my new laptop - windows 8

I can't download my pictures. I read on the forum  that I can go to my menu button on my rebel  and go torint/PTP- wil this work for me?

It's very likely the original Rebel uses a CF card and most current card readers will have no trouble reading it including CHEAP ones. As for the other setting I've checked my 20D manual on my laptop & the PTP setting is for direct printing but worth trying since computer OS systems have changed since those days. t
