My Canon 60D stops capturing photos when I have the monitor open

My  Canon 60D stops taking photos when I have the monitor open so that I can be able to use it at arms length... Hoping to find a solution to this problem, and wondering if there is a simple fix to this problem, or what the fix/repair would cost....

Thanks for any help with this problem.

Are you saying that Live View shooting mode doesn't work properly?

You need to contact Canon U.S. Support for an estimate.

Thanks I don't have the camera with me, and I'm travelling. I will have to check this and answer this question since it has been more than a year since I've encountered this problem.

Are you saying the problem happened a year ago and the camera works OK now, or that you haven't used the camera in a year?

I am sorry to hear that you're still having problems.

Have you tried to contact Canon Repair?
