Can’t find shutter count on 5D Mark IV

My EOS utility doesn’t have the option to see my shutter count, I’ve watch videos and tried several methods but none seem to work can someone please help, my camera is several years old but I’ve barely used it

The only way to get a true shutter count is sending it in to Canon.   While some software may exist, it appears to all be hit or miss in terms of accuracy.

I can’t even get an idea though which is the issue.  Trying to sell it and people think I’m trying to sell them something I’ve overused, when I’ve actually barely used it lol

A very simplistic estimate (assuming you didn't reset image numbering) would be to look at the file of the last image taken.

e.g., if I do this for my original Rebel T4i, then the 6D, and current 5D IV, I get the following:

  • Rebel T4i: 2,736
  • EOS 6D: 8,307
  • EOS 5D IV: 11,057 (last 4-digits of the filename rolled over when reaching 10,000).
