HI all -  my printer has stopped printing with black ink :

 - we have canon inks

- i have done a 'deep clean' (but no paper came out, so puzzled, as it says it will use lots of ink & I assumed paper)

- done a test strip - all stripes fine, but no back at all

I have an appleMac  using Sierra. All I can think of is that somewhere an operating system isnt right, but why has it only affected the black ink ??

Turns out the cartridge was blocked somehow - basic intervention with a tiny needle in the vent hole to allow air to enter + a rinse under the tap to clean/ moisten the ink pad worked a treat !!
