Canon's Upgrade Program for PIXMA MX922 and CD/DVD Printing

I've seen various versions & various dates attached to this information.  I currently have a MX922 printer that the print head has gone bad  ( I believe a B200 error).  I've tried one version of a replacement head, however that was ineffective in fixing the problem.  I've noticed the TR versions do not come with CD/DVD print capabilities, however the TS versions do.  Am I able to use this program to get a TS printer to fix the problem with my MX printer?

Also, I'm interested in getting a scanner capable of scanning photo negatives.
