Timecode on C100 II Mp-4 files

A newbie question,  I've got a C100 Mark II and have some files on the MP-4 setting.  I can see the timecode in the viewer and it's running on all of the clips,  but when I import the files into FCP 7,  there's no timecode that's showing up.  I sent one of the files to a buddy that is running FCP X and he can't see it either.

Has anyone else had this issue and if so,  have you come up with a soultion for this?

Any help is greatly appreciated!!!

Could it be a format problem? I remember the most compatible codec for FCP is ProRes.

Thanks Jane and we never have been able to figure out why the timecode wouldn't show up on the MP4 files.  It was a one time thing of shooting MP4 and since then I've been using a Atomos Ninji Star to record everything in Pro Res,  so everything is good!  It may be one of those mystries of life as to why the timecode never worked on the MP4 files!

Yes, FCP loves Pro Res!

Thanks again and have a great weekend!
