Apple recently released Mac OS X v10.12 Sierra. We have discovered some issues with the compatibility of Canon’s Camera Window DC, EOS Utility and Map Utility software programs with Mac OS X v10.12 Sierra that may cause certain functions of such Canon software not to work.
Before upgrading your OS to Mac OS X 10.12 Sierra, please review the compatibility chart by clicking here.
We will update our support policy Mid-October.

Jenine--Thank you for your post and for the link to the download. The update succeeded for me. I had just about given up hope for Camera Window's usefulness for my model (Powershot S 120). As of today, it's nice, not having to pull the card and use a card reader every time. I
Rutlap--I'm sorry the update didn't work for your G7 X. As for your OS, no doubt you're up to date with Mac OS 10.12.3. The next version is now in beta. I don't know if that is good news or bad news for us.

I have a 4 year old Canon PowerShot G16. It used to "talk" to my imac both wirelessly and with USB interface. I'm using v10.12 Sierra and all I get is "No camera found". I've deleted the software and reloaded with the latest version, but still no joy. It works wireless with my ipad but I need it to interface with my computer. Pix will download through Mac's "Photo" but then renaming them with Digital Photo Professional is clumsy and it doesn't put them into date order. Short of taking out the memory card, is there any other "workaround"?

The easiest solution to your situation is to ensure you're using the most up-to-date software directly from the Canon site. We update our software regularly. You can find the software for the G7 X HERE.
If you've updated your software and you're still having issues, please reach out to our US-based technical support by calling 1-800-OK-CANON (800-652-2666) for further troubleshooting.
If you're outside of the USA, you'll want to reach out to your local Canon group for assistance. Their contact information can be found by clicking HERE, then selecting your region and then country.

Has anyone tried "CameraWindow DC 8.10.10b for Mac OS X", but released on 04/07/17? Apparently the version number didn't change, but the release date did. It still says no WiFi under OS X 10.11/10.12, but I'm hoping at least USB works now.
